Stephanie Wheeler, LICSW
As your therapist, my goal is to provide a safe and supportive environment which promotes healing and growth. I work with individuals with a diverse array of concerns and backgrounds, some of which include trauma, complex trauma and ptsd, anxiety and depression, personality and relationship concerns, as well as life transitions and stress. My passion lies in joining with clients as they explore both internal and external systems to gain insight and facilitate healing. Through the healing process, clients often gain increased access to their to their authentic Self that has been within them all along.
While therapeutic goals are tailored to the individual needs and concerns of the client, I practice through a trauma informed, systematic lens and tend to incorporate a client-centered, integrative, strengths-based approach to therapy. This most often includes internal family systems (ifs), somatic and mindfulness methods, solution-focused therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I have fifteen years of experience working with clients in outpatient settings, domestic violence, foster/adoption care and child welfare. While I currently work with adults 18+, I have a history of working with children as well. I truly enjoy this work, and I look forward to meeting with you!
